Twas two weeks before Christmas, in mountains so vast,
Where Mimi, quite scattered, was working so fast.
Eight years in the making, her DNP near its end,
December 20th is the day she’ll ascend.
Her project manuscript, polished and done,
Portfolio turned in; case log hours won.
Just a Live presentation, with three posts still to send,
Then, her academic journey reaches its terminal end.
She’s shopped for her grandkids, eight bundles of joy,
And her husband, her partner, her dear loving boy.
Five daughters and daughters-in-law, almost complete,
But four guys still left, oh what a feat!
No idea about gifts, her mind in a whirl,
For each of these guys, what to get? Oh, the twirl!
Stockings come next for her dog and her cat,
Furry companions, but much fun in that!
Then off to Maryland and Florida, too,
To see all the families and much hullabaloo.
But quickly back home, with no time to lurk,
For Sandy must return to her awaiting work.
So here’s to this Christmas – looming so close,
Juggling life, work, and school without time to doze,
May your visits be merry, your holidays bright,
And May your Christmas be filled with pure delight!
